Distortion 2011

Hey out there!
The last two days I've been partying at the distortion festival in Copenhagen. It has been crazy, there were so many people, and it took for ever to find each other if you got lost. There were so many crazy people, and people with the coolest style, and clothes. The first day was wednesday, and the first day was in the city. people went crazy and the town was like raped when people went home. I saw Pato Siebenhaar as DJ on wednesday, and it was really an experience! yesterday Distortion was on Nørrebro. My part of town. That means I had only like 5 minutes to the party. Elisabeth and I went to Guldbergsgade and partied at about 9 o clock. The atmosphere was so nice, people were happy and nobody was up to no good. Later we moved on to Elmegade where the party had it's climax. We made it upfront to the soundtruck and we actually made it to climb up onto the truck. I had a view of about 3000 people just on Elmegade going crazy to M.I.A.'s "Paper planes". People went crazy, some people started to dance Pogo. After distortion officially ended in the streets we went back to guldbergsgade and some guy had a Soundcart with him and people danced on the streets anyway. It was really awesome. After that we all went back to my place and kept on there. It was really cool. read more about distortion at this website: http://www.cphdistortion.dk/.

Hope you all are having a great time! much love, //Sofia

Well, hi there

Good morning to all you fellow bloggers and others who are reading this.
I'm so lucky that I've been given the honor of blogging with the other four from now on and I think I'll start out with a small introduction.
I'm a 16 year old girl who has fallen in love with music, acting and dancing so that's probably what my contributions to this blog will be about. Right now I'm tripping about the fact that I may or may not get into the school i so desperately want to go to next year. My friend received a Yes-letter today but I still haven't got an answer and I'm dying here!!!

But enough with the negativity! I'm going to my cousin's 18th birthday in 2 weeks and I am to sing at this event. At first I was blank! I wanted to find a song that fitted to her personality AND to the event but after 2 weeks of searching I was still lost. There wasn't any song that was good enough or described the part of growing up so I turned to one of my best friends and she helped me out. As you sure know all the five of us go to this amazing boarding school and the friend I was talking about is studying music here and is reeeeeally talented and you know what? She let me borrow one of her songs and it is soooo amazing. Therefore I thought why shouldn't everybody else hear it? So here it is! The Youtube Debut of Amanda Prip Dohn. The song is called Purple and is about that you don't have to be perfect to everybody else as long as you are the perfect version of you.....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QjxkgUCvgsc I hope you'll enjoy.. Oh who am I kidding I know you will

Well, I'm out for now. Looking forward to blog for you guys. See ya!

Sunny days

Hi everyone!
These last couple of days have been sunny!
Everyone at our boarding school are having fun outside playing football or beach volley.
I prefer listening to music or reading an exciting book outside on the grass, though. Soon it will be warm enough to sunbathe at the beach!
Here are some pictures of us 4 and our good friend Sofie at our boarding school. We were just fooling around and having fun outside. Enjoy!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everybody! Hope you're enjoying the lovely weather, which finally has hit Denmark. I sure am, maybe a little too much. Four days ago I was out sailing with our boarding school, and I haven't really thought of sun lotion. If Iwasn't aware of my fragile ginger skin, I've learned the lesson now! People who I didn't even know came and asked if they could help me with my skin. A little embarrassing... Must buy some summer clothes which covers most of my skin. Quite a challenge... Mission for the summer: I wanna make pale the new suntan!

My easter so far has been quite fantastic. I've been catching
up with old friends, mostly. Last night my friend and I was going to a big party to dance all night, and when we showed up...absolutely nothing was going on! We had mistaken the date. But then we found another party with one of my other old friends. Met some peop
le
who almost completely shared my taste of music, and had been to the exact same concerts. Funny
to know that people from your neighbor town who you've neve
r met, shares the exact same interests. Made a deal to hang out with some guys at the upcoming festival. It's gonna be the mos
t brilliant week of the year!
All in all, my mood is quite great right now. Although, I'm almo
st broke. Just bought my festival ticket, and also a ticket
to t
he Kanye West concert in Tivoli, Copenhagen. (Quite a scoop!) I've also bought a new mac computer... But what's money if they just lay in your pocket!

The pics are taken in my garden. Hope they'll get you in a great spring mood. My dad just bought a new Nikon camera, which is extraordinary good for close- up pics. That
man's quite crazy with his cameras... But I won't complain, c
ause I get to play with them!

Some music for the sun

So I'm sitting outside in my yard, enjoying the sun, and just having a lazy laydback morning. Here's some lovely music, to make your sunny day even better. Btw, remember the sunlotion ;)

I just received my ticket to Roskilde Festival! I can’t wait ‘til all those concerts, new friends and experiences I’m going to have! I know for sure that I will be at the Kings of Leon concert, the Arctic Monkeys concert and the Veto concert. I would also love to catch some small reggae or jazz concerts. I’m really excited and I almost can’t wait! But what I’m most excited about is having 8 wonderful days filled with joy, music and party with 3 of my most beautiful friends Sofia, Rebekka and Elisabeth! :)

So.. Here in Denmark the sun is finally shining! It’s like our boarding school has been buried in cold and wet weather until now. Everybody is happy, smiling and having a good time outside. The sun reminds me, that I need some good old blue jeans and shorts.
I’ve been looking at jeans from Zara and American Apparel. American Apparel has a whole new jeans collection and they’re super cool. You should check them out! They also have some very flattering shorts. I could totally use those for the festival!

Spring time has come

The weekend has finally come to an end, and I am really tired. But it was worth it! This weekend we all had to stay at our boarding school. Everybody has been in such a good mood, because the sun has been shining for the first time in Denmark. We sat outside on blankets, and some of the cool dudes played guitar and we all had a great time. So all in all this is going to be a weekend that I wont forget. Back to school tomorrow, what a bore. SO here's a picture of Ayah and I, we hung out a lot this weekend! And a kinda lousy picture of today's outfit:

Sunglasses, Ray Ban
Leather Jacket, vintage
Hoodie, American Apperal
T-shirt, Volcom
Jeans, Five Units
